U.S. President Donald Trump stated on Friday that he believes Hamas is ready for a "lasting PEACE" based on a recent statement issued by the group.

In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump called for Israel to "immediately stop the bombing of Gaza" to allow for the safe and quick extraction of hostages, saying the current situation is "far too dangerous" for such operations.

Trump indicated that discussions are already underway regarding details to be worked out in a potential agreement. He emphasized that the issue extends beyond Gaza, describing it as being about "long sought PEACE in the Middle East."
